Pers.<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Lythraceae<br \/>\nNama <\/strong>: Bungur.<br \/>\n<\/span><b>Deskripsi <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: <strong>Pohon<\/strong>, kecil atau sedang, 40\u221245 m, diameter batang dapat mencapai 100 cm, bergalar, banir kecil, meranggas atau semi-meranggas. <strong>Kulit batang <\/strong>mengeripih kecil-kecil, permukaan halus, abu-abu sampai coklat kekuningan-moreng kecoklatan; pepagan bagian dalam menyerabut, abu-abu sampai coklat kekuning-kuningan.<strong> Daun<\/strong> tunggal, berseling-berderet dua, tepi mengutuh. <strong>Perbungaan <\/strong>malai, terminal atau aksiler. <strong>Bunga<\/strong> besar, kelopak bunga berbentuk corong atau lonceng, cuping berjumlah 6 atau 9, daun mahkota berjumlah 6 helai, letaknya masuk dekat mulut tabung kelopak; putih sampai jambon atau ungu, mencakar atau berkerut. Benang sari banyak, tersusun dalam beberapa baris. Bakal buah superior, berlokus 3\u22126 dengan banyak bakal biji, tangkai putik-1. <strong>Buah <\/strong>kapsul, mengayu, besar, kelopak berkanjang. <strong>Biji<\/strong> bersayap di ujungnya.<br \/>\n<\/span><b>Ekologi <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: Persebaran alami dari wilayah Yunan (Cina) sampai daerah asia tropis, termasuk kawasan Malesia. Pada umumnya tumbuh pada areal yang terbuka di hutan primer atau sekunder, banyak tumbuh di hutan riparian, habitat tepi sungai, hutan lahan basah (rawa, rawa-gambut).
