\n<\/span>Deskripsi <\/b>: Liana<\/strong>, memanjat dan membelit. Batang silinder, coklat pudar, kehijauan. Daun <\/strong>tunggal, berhadapan; tangkai daun panjang ca. 4 cm; menjantung; pangkal bentuk jantung; ujung meruncing sampai melancip; tepi daun mengutuh; permukaan gundul, kehijauan terang, permukaan bawah hijau pucat. Perbungaan <\/strong>berbatas, aksiler. Bunga<\/strong> biseksual, daun kelopak hijau, mahkota bunga krim-kekuningan, kepala putik putih, aromatik. Buah <\/strong>kapsul, mengerucut memanjang, hijau tua sampai kecoklatan tua, berpendar ketika tua. Biji <\/strong>kecil, bertesta.
\n<\/span>Ekologi <\/b>: Persebaran alami dari wilayah Subkontinen India sampai Cina bagian Selatan dan Asia Tenggara, termasuk kawasan Malesia. Pada umumnya tumbuh pada hutan dataran rendah, jarang di jumpai pada hutan perbukitan. Spesies ini tumbuh lebih sering pada daerah yang lembab sampai basah seperti tepi sungai dan rawa (rawa gambut).
