Perhiasan bunga 6-bagian, bewarna biru keunguan, mahkota semu, membundar telur sampai menjorong; bagian atas 1 lebih besat dengan bintik kuning di bagian tengahnya. Benang sari 6, 3 panjang dan 3 pendek; tangkai sari melengkung, berambut glandular. Putik heterostylik; kepala putik berambut glandular. Buah kapsul, bulat telur sungsang.<br \/>\n<\/span><b>Ekologi <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: Persebaran alami di kawasan Amerika bagian Selatan. Terintroduksi dan ternaturalisasi sampai ke kawasan Malesia termasuk Indonesia. Pada umumnya tumbuh pada kawasan ekosistem perairan seperti sungai-sungai besar di Kalimantan, rawa, dan danau.<\/span><br \/>\n<b>Kegunaan <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: Tumbuhan dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan kerajinan tangan.
