Nama
: Engkudu Talun.
Deskripsi : Pohon, perdu, tinggi pohon 2−10 m, diameter batang dapat mencapai 30 cm. Batang coklat keabu-abuan, berlekah vertikal, ranting berdaun kehijaun terang. Daun penumpu ada, menyatu menjadi selaput bumbung berbentuk lingkaran, menjepit ranting. Daun tunggal, berhadapan, tipis sampai tebal, menjangat; tangkai daun membesar dibagian pangkalnya; bentuk daun membundar telur-jorong, membundar telur sungsang-lonjong, melonjong sampai lonjong-melanset; pangkal daun membaji, menumpul, membundar atau sedikit menjantung; ujung daun meruncing, menumpul, membundar, atau sangat sering meruncing; tapi daun mengutuh sampai bergelombang; pertulangan daun sekunder menyirip, 4−12 pasang, tenggelam di permukaan atas dan menonjol di permukaan bawah daun, jelas. Perbungaan tandan atau thyrsoid, tegak atau menjuntai, panjangnya 2−60 cm. Bunga biseksual; kelopak berbentuk lonceng atau semi-bulat, bercuping dangkal; mahkota berbentuk corong, sedikit bercuping pada lembaran terluar, krim-keputihan. Benang sari berjumlah 5, kepala sari lanset atau lonjong, coklat pudar, putik 1, kepala putik bulat, kehijauan. Buah buni, bulat, jorong sampai bulat telur sungsang.
Ekologi : Persebaran alami dari wilayah Kamboja, Semenanjung Malaysia, dan Indonesia (Sumatra dan Kalimantan). Pada umumnya tumbuh pada ekosistem dataran rendah seperti hutan primer dan hutan sekunder. Tumbuh pada substrat aluvial atau tanah kapur. Tumbuh di bawah kanopi hutan primer, hutan riparian, terkadang pada hutan rawa, dan areal terbuka. Referensi: TPD, 2023. Catatan: pada beberapa literatur dilaporakan sebagai Fagraea racemosa.

IUCN Red List Status
The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), or in Indonesian, Serikat Internasional Untuk Pelestarian Alam, makes decisions to determine the conservation status of a species or plant. The current categories of the IUCN Red List criteria include extinct (EX), extinct in the wild (EW), critically endangered (CR), endangered (EN), vulnerable (VU), near threatened (NT), least concern (LC), data deficient (DD), and not evaluated (NE).
The CITES List Status
CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species) , aims to restrict countries from trading protected flora and fauna or those with extremely limited numbers. The CITES status consists of appendices (attachments) numbered I-III. Appendix I is a list of flora and fauna that absolutely cannot be traded because they are critically endangered. Appendix II is a list of flora and fauna that can be traded, but their numbers are limited. Meanwhile, Appendix III is a list of flora and fauna that can be traded because they are abundant in one country but limited in another.
