Nama : Malay glass catfish
Deskripsi : Memiliki panjang total sekitar 17 cm. Sirip punggung tereduksi, hanya memiliki 4 jari-jari lunak saja. Sirip dubur memiliki 58-62 jari-jari lunak. Sungut panjang, dimana sungut rahang bawah melampaui ekornya. Terdapat bintik-bintik yang dihubungkan oleh garis warna di sepanjang sisi badan. Sisi sirip ekor meruncing. Sirip dubur terpisah dengan sirip ekor. Makanan utamanya adalah serangga. Ikan betina biasanya memiliki badan lebih lebar dari ikan jantan, dan ikan jantan memiliki sisi punggung bergerigi (dimana ikan betina tidak memilikinya). Ikan ini Bersifat demersal.
Habitat : Spesies ini mendiami sungai, anak sungai, hutan yang tergenang air (Kottelat dan Widjanarti, 2005), dan perairan lahan basah yang berdekatan dengan rawa gambut.
Sebaran : Spesies ini tersebar di Asia Tenggara dan Indonesia bagian barat. Spesies ini juga dikenal dari drainase Sungai Pahang di Semenanjung Malaysia, drainase Sungai Rokan ke arah selatan hingga ke drainase Sungai Musi di Sumatera, dan drainase Sungai Kapuas di Kalimantan bagian barat (Ng 2003, GBIF 2019).

IUCN Red List Status
The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), or in Indonesian, Serikat Internasional Untuk Pelestarian Alam, makes decisions to determine the conservation status of a species or plant. The current categories of the IUCN Red List criteria include extinct (EX), extinct in the wild (EW), critically endangered (CR), endangered (EN), vulnerable (VU), near threatened (NT), least concern (LC), data deficient (DD), and not evaluated (NE).
The CITES List Status
CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species) , aims to restrict countries from trading protected flora and fauna or those with extremely limited numbers. The CITES status consists of appendices (attachments) numbered I-III. Appendix I is a list of flora and fauna that absolutely cannot be traded because they are critically endangered. Appendix II is a list of flora and fauna that can be traded, but their numbers are limited. Meanwhile, Appendix III is a list of flora and fauna that can be traded because they are abundant in one country but limited in another.
