Nama
: Repeh; Kepih (Kutai).
Deskripsi : Pohon, berukuran sedang−besar, tinggi dapat mencapai di atas 30 m, diameter dapat mencapai 60 cm. Kulit batang abu-abu atau coklat terang, halus atau beretakan. Daun tunggal, semi-menjangat; tangkai daun cembung di bagian bawah, cekung di atas; menjorong sampai lonjong, atau menjorong sangat sempit; pangkal daun membaji; ujung daun melancip; tulang daun 16−30 pasang, kadang-kadang terlihat hampir tidak berbeda dengan bagian yang di permukaan bawah daun, jelas pada kedua sisi. Perbungaan malai, terminal, kadang di ketiak daun bagian ujung, berkerumun di ujung ranting, berambut balig padat saat muda, atau gundul; daun gagang bunga melanset. Bunga biseksual, kecil, putih. Kelopak bunga bercuping 4 (jarang−6), cuping membundar telur−lonjong, berambut balig halus-jarang di sisi luar. Daun mahkota berjumlah 4 (jarang 5), melanset. Benang sari berjumlah 5, 1-fertil; tangkai sari bebas, kepala sari bulat telur-lebar. Bakal buah semi-bulat, diameter ± 1 mm. Buah pelok-berdaging, pipih, diameter ±8−9 cm; berdaging tipis, berserat. Biji berlabirin dengan testa terdapat di celah cuping atau lipatan yang sangat tidak beraturan.
Ekologi : Secara alami tersebar di wilayah Indonesia (Sumatra, Jawa khususnya di Jawa Barat, Kalimantan), Malaysia, dan Thailand. Di Kalimantan Timur dijumpai di kawasan lahan basah Sedulang, Mesangat, dan Suwi. Pada umumnya tumbuh pada ekosistem hutan dataran rendah seperti hutan riparian, hutan lahan basah (rawa dan danau).
Kegunaan : Buah dapat dikonsumsi tetapi rasanya sangat asam. Bunga & Daun, pucuk daun muda dan bunga sebagai sumber pakan primata seperti Bekantan. Referensi: Ding Hou, 1978; Muklis et al., 2018.

IUCN Red List Status
The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), or in Indonesian, Serikat Internasional Untuk Pelestarian Alam, makes decisions to determine the conservation status of a species or plant. The current categories of the IUCN Red List criteria include extinct (EX), extinct in the wild (EW), critically endangered (CR), endangered (EN), vulnerable (VU), near threatened (NT), least concern (LC), data deficient (DD), and not evaluated (NE).
The CITES List Status
CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species) , aims to restrict countries from trading protected flora and fauna or those with extremely limited numbers. The CITES status consists of appendices (attachments) numbered I-III. Appendix I is a list of flora and fauna that absolutely cannot be traded because they are critically endangered. Appendix II is a list of flora and fauna that can be traded, but their numbers are limited. Meanwhile, Appendix III is a list of flora and fauna that can be traded because they are abundant in one country but limited in another.
