Nama
: Obah Nasi.
Deskripsi : Pohon, berukuran sedang, tinggi mencapai 8−25 m. Daun penumpu ada, lonjong. Daun tunggal, berseling, menjangat; tangkai daun pendek, 3−5 mm; membundar telur atau menjorong-lonjong; pangkal daun membundar, ujung daun membudar, tepi daun  mengutuh; pertulangan daun menyirip, 7–12 pasang; permukaan bawah daun berambut, pendek. Perbungaan tandan, aksiler. Bunga uniseksual; bunga jantan keemasan, daun kelopak 6, melonjong, benang sari 6, bunga betina memiliki bentuk yang sama dengan bunga jantan, baka buah bulat telur-bulat, kepala putik beruang 3−5. Buah kapsul, bulat-pipih tertekan ke dasar buah, beralur kecil-8, berlekukan mengikuti rongga buah, berpendar, putih-merah sampai jambon. Biji di dalam rongga.
Ekologi : Persebaran alami dari wilayah Assam, Bangladesh, Cina bagian Selatan-Tengah, Himalaya Timur, India, Indonesia (Sumatra, Jawa, Kalimantan, Sunda Kecil), Malaysia, Myanmar, P. Andaman, P. Nicobar, dan Thailand. Pada umumnya tumbuh pada ekosistem dataran rendah seperti hutan primer dan hutan sekunder. Tumbuh pada hutan lahan kering terdegredasi dan hutan lahan basah seperti hutan riparian dan hutan rawa. Referensi: Li et al., 2008.

IUCN Red List Status
The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), or in Indonesian, Serikat Internasional Untuk Pelestarian Alam, makes decisions to determine the conservation status of a species or plant. The current categories of the IUCN Red List criteria include extinct (EX), extinct in the wild (EW), critically endangered (CR), endangered (EN), vulnerable (VU), near threatened (NT), least concern (LC), data deficient (DD), and not evaluated (NE).
The CITES List Status
CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species) , aims to restrict countries from trading protected flora and fauna or those with extremely limited numbers. The CITES status consists of appendices (attachments) numbered I-III. Appendix I is a list of flora and fauna that absolutely cannot be traded because they are critically endangered. Appendix II is a list of flora and fauna that can be traded, but their numbers are limited. Meanwhile, Appendix III is a list of flora and fauna that can be traded because they are abundant in one country but limited in another.
