: Ular – terbang Firdaus/Garden Flying Snake
Deskripsi : Jenis ular yang memiliki bentuk tubuh ramping dengan kepala yang panjang dan lebar dibandingkan leher. Panjang ekor sekitar seperempat panjang total tubuhnya. Individu dewasa dapat mencapai panjang maksimum 1,5 m. Moncong panjang diameter moncong sama rata antara mata dengan hidung. sisik pada bagian kepala dan tubuh umumnya berwarna hitam dan pada bagian punggung membentuk seperti kelopak (3-4) yang berwarna pink, oranye atau merah sepanjang tubuhnya. Bagian perut dan sisi kiri kanan berwarna hijau muda.
Habitat : Spesies ular arboreal ini mendiami hutan primer dan sekunder, terutama di dataran rendah, namun terkadang dijumpai pula di ketinggian 1000 – 1300 m dpl. Ditemukan juga di sekitar kebun yang teduh, kadang- kadang dijumpai di langit – langit rumah kayu tua.
Sebaran : Banyak dijumpai sepanjang Sabah, Serawak dan Brunei dan kemungkinan dijumpai di pulau – pulau. Spesies ini juga ditemukan di Myanmar, Thailand bagian selatan, Semenanjung Malaysia, Sumatera dan sekitar pantai pulaunya, Jawa dan Pulau Filipina dan Sulawesi.

IUCN Red List Status
The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), or in Indonesian, Serikat Internasional Untuk Pelestarian Alam, makes decisions to determine the conservation status of a species or plant. The current categories of the IUCN Red List criteria include extinct (EX), extinct in the wild (EW), critically endangered (CR), endangered (EN), vulnerable (VU), near threatened (NT), least concern (LC), data deficient (DD), and not evaluated (NE).
The CITES List Status
CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species) , aims to restrict countries from trading protected flora and fauna or those with extremely limited numbers. The CITES status consists of appendices (attachments) numbered I-III. Appendix I is a list of flora and fauna that absolutely cannot be traded because they are critically endangered. Appendix II is a list of flora and fauna that can be traded, but their numbers are limited. Meanwhile, Appendix III is a list of flora and fauna that can be traded because they are abundant in one country but limited in another.
