Nama : Ikan Belida/Giant featherback
Deskripsi : Spesies ini mempunyai peluang bertambah panjangnya rahang bertambah sepanjang hidup, memanjang jauh melampaui batas posterior mata pada spesimen besar. Juvenil kecil dengan palang yang agak miring pada tubuh dan sirip dubur sedangkan juvenil yang lebih besar dan dewasa dengan tubuh polos. Secara keseluruhan memiliki tubuh berwarna keperakan hingga perunggu pada masa hidupnya (Kottelat 2001).
Habitat : Juvenil dari spesies ini kemungkinan besar menghuni sungai berhutan dan hutan rawa, sementara dewasanya lebih banyak ditemukan di danau dan sungai besar, seperti yang dilaporkan untuk jenis-jenis congeners lainnya (Bleeker 1851, Kottelat dan Widjanarti 2005). Spesies ini dan kemungkinan memiliki pola aktivitas krepuskular atau nokturnal (Rainboth 1996). Memakan ikan lain, serangga, dan vertebrata kecil (Vidthayanon 2005).
Sebaran : Spesies ini dapat ditemukan bagaian barat Indonesia yaitu pada pulau Kalimantan, Sumatra, dan jawa. Terdapat di Malaysia, Thailand (Kottelat 1993), dan juga ditemukan di lembah Mekong (Rainboth 1996)

IUCN Red List Status
The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), or in Indonesian, Serikat Internasional Untuk Pelestarian Alam, makes decisions to determine the conservation status of a species or plant. The current categories of the IUCN Red List criteria include extinct (EX), extinct in the wild (EW), critically endangered (CR), endangered (EN), vulnerable (VU), near threatened (NT), least concern (LC), data deficient (DD), and not evaluated (NE).
The CITES List Status
CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species) , aims to restrict countries from trading protected flora and fauna or those with extremely limited numbers. The CITES status consists of appendices (attachments) numbered I-III. Appendix I is a list of flora and fauna that absolutely cannot be traded because they are critically endangered. Appendix II is a list of flora and fauna that can be traded, but their numbers are limited. Meanwhile, Appendix III is a list of flora and fauna that can be traded because they are abundant in one country but limited in another.
