Nama
: Terap; Talun; Kian (Kenyah).
Deskripsi : Pohon, tinggi mencapai 40 m dan diameter batang dapat mencapai 90 cm, kadang-kadang berbanir. Kulit batang coklat keabu-abuan, permukaan halus sampai sedikit bersisik, pepagan dalam coklat pucat, bergetah putih susu sampai kecoklatan. Daun penumpu ada, memeluk batang, melanset, permukaan berambut balig halus, coklat kekuningan atau coklat kemerahan. Daun tunggal, menjagat, spiral; bentuk helai daun bervariasi, helian membundar telur sampai melonjong, daun muda biasanya bercuping-menyirip, dalam; pangkal daun membundar; ujung daun melancip; tepi daun mengutuh; permukaan atas daun berambut jarang, kasar;  permukaan bawah daun berambut kasar, padat; pertulangan daun menyirip, tulang daun lateral 12−14 pasang, tulang daun menimbul pada permukaan bawah daun; hijau tua sampai kecoklatan saat kering. Perbungaan soliter, aksiler, berkumpul dalam bongkol. Bunga jantan silindris dengan alur-alur yang jelas berbeda, perhiasan bunga beruping dua, benang sari pendek, kepala sari lonjong. Bunga betina tunggal atau berbelah dua, putik ada. Buah sinkarp, silindris, kuning kecoklatan, permukaan diselimuti oleh duri-duri pendek, keputihan.
Ekologi : Persebaran alami dari wilayah Myanmar, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia (Sumatra, Jawa, Kalimantan, Sunda Kecil, Sulawesi, dan Maluku), dan Filipina. Pada umumnya tumbuh pada ekosistem hutan dataran rendah sampai perbukitan seperti hutan primer dan sekunder, serta hutan regenerasi.
Kegunaan : Kulit batang secara etnobotani masyarakat Dayak Benuaq dimanfaat untuk bahan dinding rumah atau gubuk. Getah dimanfaatkan untuk bahan perekat dalam teknik jerat atau pikat burung. Referensi: Kochummen & Go, 2000.

IUCN Red List Status
The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), or in Indonesian, Serikat Internasional Untuk Pelestarian Alam, makes decisions to determine the conservation status of a species or plant. The current categories of the IUCN Red List criteria include extinct (EX), extinct in the wild (EW), critically endangered (CR), endangered (EN), vulnerable (VU), near threatened (NT), least concern (LC), data deficient (DD), and not evaluated (NE).
The CITES List Status
CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species) , aims to restrict countries from trading protected flora and fauna or those with extremely limited numbers. The CITES status consists of appendices (attachments) numbered I-III. Appendix I is a list of flora and fauna that absolutely cannot be traded because they are critically endangered. Appendix II is a list of flora and fauna that can be traded, but their numbers are limited. Meanwhile, Appendix III is a list of flora and fauna that can be traded because they are abundant in one country but limited in another.
